My name is Rose. You’ve probably seen my picture before and you may have even met me. I’m a 3 year old Staffordshire Terrier mix. Or at least that’s what I look like. The shelter doesn’t do DNA testing so there is no way to really know my heritage. Not that it would matter because there is no exact when it comes to dogs. We are just like people and we all have our own personalities. I’ve been at Sanilac County Humane Society for 275 days. Before that I was at Animal Control. I was someone’s pet and I don’t know why they abandoned me there but they did. I’m not perfect and I don’t pretend to be. I can be a bossy girl and I need to be with someone who will make sure I listen. I also can’t live with small dogs or cats. I have a very high prey drive and it could end poorly. That doesn’t make me a bad dog. It just makes me a dog who has social limitations. I do know commands and I will do anything for affection and snacks. I’m great for baths and I’m so soft when I’m clean. I love children! I may look intimidating to some people by my heart melts for little kids and I love their snuggles. I walk well on a leash when I have my pinch collar on, otherwise I pull and since I’m so strong you could end up in the dust. I won’t run off though. I just turn around and lick your face clean. It hasn’t been a horrible 275 days but I really hope a family comes for me soon. Please share my story because I love my shelter family but 275 days is a long time…
