Patrick is a sweet 5-year-old boy with a gentle soul. He loves chin scratches, catnip mice, food of all kinds, being talked to, and having his forehead rubbed. Patrick would love to spend the rest of his days lounging on the back of your couch watching TV with you. Patrick does not mind laid-back cats that respect his space, but he would be happiest as an only child. He does NOT like dogs.
Since Patrick is FIV positive, ideally, he is looking for a home where he is the only cat, or there are other FIV cats. FIV cats can live with non-FIV cats in a calm household. FIV is transmitted through deep bite wounds (bad fights).
Feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) is one of the most common infectious diseases of cats around the world. In infected cats, FIV attacks the immune system, much like AIDS in humans. Though there is no cure for FIV, recent studies suggest that cats with FIV commonly live average life spans.
