Meet Gandalf, a sweet and affectionate boy who is around 5 years old. He loves catnip, canned food, cuddles, butt scratches, and being his people’s furry shadow. Gandolf is looking for a loving furever home, and he’s ready to be someone’s best friend!! Gandalf loves other cats and does well with cat-friendly dogs.
This pet is currently located at the Fort Gratiot PetSmart. You will need an approved application and an appointment to meet him.
Since Gandalf is FIV positive, ideally, he is looking for a home where he is the only cat, or there are other FIV cats. FIV cats can live with non-FIV cats in a calm household. FIV is transmitted through deep bite wounds (bad fights).
Feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) is one of the most common infectious diseases of cats around the world. In infected cats, FIV attacks the immune system, much like AIDS in humans. Though there is no cure for FIV, recent studies suggest that cats with FIV commonly live average life spans.
