Cat of The Week

November 3, 2025

Patrick is a sweet 5-year-old boy with a gentle soul. He loves chin scratches, catnip mice, food of all kinds, being talked to, butt pats, and butt scratches. Patrick would love to spend the rest of his days lounging on your couch ( or on your lap) watching TV with you. He is just an outgoing, sweet, and happy guy who loves everyone! Except for dogs, Patrick HATES dogs. Patrick does not mind laid-back cats that respect his space, but he would be happiest as an only child.

Since Patrick is FIV positive, ideally, he is looking for a home where he is the only cat, or there are other FIV cats. FIV cats can live with non-FIV cats in a calm household. FIV is transmitted through deep bite wounds (bad fights).

Feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) is one of the most common infectious diseases of cats around the world. In infected cats, FIV attacks the immune system, much like AIDS in humans. Though there is no cure for FIV, recent studies suggest that cats with FIV commonly live average life spans.

Please call the shelter at 810-657-8962 for more information. Please email the shelter at societypets@att.net or visit us at sanilaccountyhumanesociety.org for an application.

Dogs of the Week

Meet 1-year-old brothers Batman & Robin. Don’t let my name fool you; they are not crime-fighters. Like normal puppies, they like to cause mischief from time to time. You will want their new home to have a fenced-in and very secure yard; otherwise, you will be looking for them all over the neighborhood. They take a little bit to warm up to new people, but once they do, look out! They will be sleeping in your bed and following you everywhere. Robin loves to be a lap dog and is happiest with his people. Batman is a fun-loving little guy who always wants to be playing or figuring out puzzles. Batman and Robin seem very attached to each other and would prefer to be adopted together.

Batman and Robin are potty-trained, but they were only recently neutered, so they do occasionally mark, but they are getting better.

Please call the shelter at 810-657-8962 for more information. Please email the shelter at societypets@att.net or visit us at sanilaccountyhumanesociety.org for an application.
