Meet Ruger, an 8-year-old lab mix who is ready to steal your heart! He is a sweet boy who loves to give kisses and has the typical lab energy and determination. Ruger is looking for someone who is just as active as he is (he loves to go for walks and play), also someone who would not mind sharing their bed every once in a while. He has been other dogs but can be selective with his fur friends. Proper introductions are mandatory. Due to his size and personality, he would do best in a home with older kids. Hi!! I’m Kirschner!! Wondering how I got my name? The apparatus I had holding my leg together was the “Kirschner Wire” — my foster mom thought that was a great name for me! If you cannot pronounce Kirschner, you can call me Buddy! I had a thing on my leg because I was shot and the bullet shattered my leg. Thankfully the house I limped up to was a volunteer’s house that knew exactly who to call to get me help. Leg-saving surgery followed and now I am receiving excellent post-surgery care and well-deserved spoiling. The vet says I am healing very well and I am loving life with all the attention I am receiving. People say this is what a furever home is like, if that is true, I want one!!! I would make an amazing furever companion! I am around 3 years old and some of my favorite things are canned food (food in general), belly rubs, and snuggles.
